What are the cons of buying an E34 BMW towards buying an E36?

Im looking for my first car and i definitly want to buy a BMW. The only problem i have is that i do not know which one i want. I can find tons of e34s with 140000 plus miles but the e36s are very hard to find with under 140000 miles. Ive been watching videos from auto cross and street racing for both and they seem to be similar, is there any con of getting the bigger sedan than the coupe thanks|||Firstly buying a bmw with 140000 mile on the clock need not be a problem providing it has full service history i used to work on a e34 520 with 540000 miles on the clock. Secondly if your looking for a e36 far different from a e34 smaller better handling but not quite as comfortable beware of 2.3 and 2.8 models as they suffered liner problems causing high oil consumption a well known problem which was rectified by bmw by taking the old engine out and replacing it under warranty but be aware there were lots that got away as bmw never notified customers only looked into it when customer mentioned high oil consumption.
